Quick news update:
Justin Carter, a boy in Texas was arrested in February over a comment made on Facebook. The comment arose out of an argument over the online game League of Legends. In which a participant said something to the effect of “you’re crazy.” Justin then responded saying “Oh yeah, I’m real messed up in the head, I’m going to go shoot up a school full of kids and eat their still, beating hearts. lol jk”
A woman in Canada saw the comment and reported Justin to the police. He was arrested week later and is still being held. He now faces felony charges of making a “terrorist threat,” which holds a penalty of up to eight years in prison. No evidence has come to light thus far to substantiate any claims of true malicious intent on Justin’s part.
While in jail he has been physically abused, stripped nude, and put in solitary confinement and suicide watch.
